THE DREAM OF STUDIO
Podcasting isn’t entirely new to me, but it has become a powerful way for me to dive deeper into weekly topics. It pushes me to keep growing by learning new things in fitness, nutrition, and everything in between so that I can bring you the highest quality content.
Starting a fitness and nutrition podcast wasn’t easy, especially with so many great ones already out there. I’m sure you can name a few off the top of your head! Beyond that, I was completely new to podcast production. I had to start from scratch—choosing the right microphone, setting up equipment, figuring out recording inputs, handling post-production, and scheduling releases.
Learning all these technical steps wasn’t the hardest part. What really challenged me was the mental preparation: the fear of talking to an empty room, worrying about saying the wrong thing, my grammar, and how fluently I could convey my message. It took a lot to push through and record that first episode. (You wouldn’t believe how much editing went into those first few episodes!) And honestly, I still get nervous every time I record a new one.
The reason I decided to create my own podcast channel is that there aren’t many fitness and nutrition podcasts in Malaysia. There are a few good ones, but most of the top podcasts in this field are Western-based. There’s nothing wrong with that, but I feel there’s a niche for Malaysian, or even broader Asian, listeners who want content that resonates more with their culture, diet, and lifestyle.
I also want to create a bilingual podcast in both Mandarin and English to reach a diverse audience from different backgrounds. But, to be honest, I’m not a master in either language. That’s why I’m also using this as an opportunity to improve my speaking skills in both.
And I hope that you, as my greatest motivation, find my content helpful on your fitness journey. It would mean the world to me if you could share it with your friends and family who might also enjoy this podcast! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this :)
